🔆 Being successful in an ecosystem

For this week’s podcast, I interviewed Ron Gidron, founder and CEO of type of my podcast.

Here are my 5 takeaways from the small things that can have a big effect on growing a SaaS Ecosystem:

  1. Be curious. Problems you solved successfully in the past manifest themselves differently in a new era, especially inside ecosystems.
  2. Deliberately choose the ecosystem and go all-in. There’s a reason Salesforce folks love Salesforce, and ServiceNow folks love ServiceNow.
  3. Build relationships even before you’ve got something to sell. It will help you create your growth flywheel faster since eco-system people talk to eco-system people.
  4. Get ingrained into the ecosystem. Learn their vocabulary, their habits, and how they think.
  5. Make sure that you and the eco-system vendor are truly aligned, that your value is their value, and their value is your value.

In my interview with Ron, we’ll dig much deeper into each point.

Question for you to reflect upon:

Which ecosystem players around you already align with what you do, and need what you have in abundance? What if you’d give that more focus?
